ASN Main Oekaki

Do not forget our mainsite or our forums. They really like it when you visit.

Note: if for some reason OekakiBBS isn't working for any of you, try going into your Internet Options' "Advanced" tab. Scroll down to your Java settings and select Microsoft VM instead of Java Sun.

MAIN OEKAKI RULES:

This is NOT a practice board.

Please do not sign up more than once. Wait for your account to be validated by the admins. This can take up to a week.
Use the 18+ for mature or adult drawings.
If you wish to apply for drawing privileges, you must include a link to your existing oekaki art in your profile. All other artwork will be ignored, since it's not truely representative of your skills with an oekaki applet. If you are unsure, you can use the Practice Oekaki where this rule does not apply. Send Unbridled Joy of Flight a PM when you're ready to apply for Main.
Each person may submit up to 5 oekaki drawings per day.
No flaming or insulting of other members. Please respect each other as you would yourself.
Obviously enough, this is an Avatar: The Last Airbender board. Please keep all art on Main to that theme.
Safety saves MUST utilize the work-in-progress (WIP) flag. We will change them to WIP if you don't. WIP's will automatically be deleted after a set time if not posted as finished. This policy is to prevent the board from being cluttered up by permanently incomplete works.

I think the story is really interesting. But the thing I'm looking forward to the most is Spirit Guide Aang.

Um..Zuko was honestly meant to be clothed, I just couldn't remember what he normally wears so... Convenient boulder, courtesy of Toph. This was supposed to be a serious pic of Toph saving Zuko :)

I don't know why, but I have this notion that after all the war going on, they would erect an island as sort of a 'netherlands' type place of unity- all four nations represented- not representing one over the other. A sanctuary.
Also sort of a 'Avatar' refuge, I guess. I dunno-

I haven't done an Oekaki in years, and my tablet is missing so I had to use a mouse. Needless to say, this is fairly ... ugly. (Her face is all wrong.) I kinda lost patience with my mouse and gave up. >.> I may or may not come back and touch up.

Yeah, pretty good for a mouse!

I think her face just looks off because the placement of things is a bit strange. Like, her mouth is practically on her chin/so much lower than her nose. Her eyes are high up on her face; things like that.
It's easily fixed. You could even "cheat" and use the copy tool to move things around. ;)

@Nefalkarx, ya that pretty much sums up whats wrong with her face. Ever draw something, but you've looked at it so long you can't tell what's off with it any more? I think I needed someone with a fresh perspective to look at it. :)

I saw the Avatar trailer and I was inspired to do some more oekaki. One of my favorite characters, Princess Yue. I don't know why, but it felt right to draw her. Hope ya'll enjoy.

From the trailers, it looks like she plays a bigger role in the movie than she did in the tv show. I mean, I know she was important, but she was only in two episodes. Uhh, two, right? P:
