MAIN OEKAKI RULES:

This is NOT a practice board.

  1. Please do not sign up more than once. Wait for your account to be validated by the admins. This can take up to a week.

  3. If you wish to apply for drawing privileges, you must include a link to your existing oekaki art in your profile. All other artwork will be ignored, since it's not truely representative of your skills with an oekaki applet. If you are unsure, you can use the Practice Oekaki where this rule does not apply. Send Unbridled Joy of Flight a PM when you're ready to apply for Main.
  4. Each person may submit up to 5 oekaki drawings per day.
  5. No flaming or insulting of other members. Please respect each other as you would yourself.
  6. Obviously enough, this is an Avatar: The Last Airbender board. Please keep all art on Main to that theme.
  7. Safety saves MUST utilize the work-in-progress (WIP) flag. We will change them to WIP if you don't. WIP's will automatically be deleted in 3 days if not complete. This policy is to prevent the board from being cluttered up by permanently incomplete works.

Ok, first off, I was at this on and off all day and just left the window open.

Second, it's a dead Toph...yeah I feel like a bad fan. XD I really like Toph, so it's not because i don't like her. This is a reference to the play Hamlet. And Toph is sort of embodying Ophelia. The love interest of Hamlet that evenutally goes crazy and drowns herself.

I've been told Lilies symbolize death. And Ophelia was always carrying around flowers telling what they meant. So i thought it might fit.

Went with the cell shading type of feel...honestly I have no idea what it is really...it's amix of things.

So yeah here's Toph dead,floatin down the river with her lilies.

*she's older to fit the age Ophelia. And Adulted it just in case the whole dead thing was...like i dunno adult worthy XD If you think differently tell me and I'll un-adult it.

I had to fix it. It was bothering me. This is my first time ever cell shading. And her neck and position of her head probably look funny, but that's because of the perspective I tried to draw her in. Refresh if you see icky version

You did a great job for it being the first time cell shading. I would have never known. The lineart doesn't look bad at all to me, it just looks stylized. I have only one crit, but it's not that bad. Suki has a black glove, typically.

hi...i'm not really new here, but i don't draw very much here and i don't comment that much, let alone at all, so i'm saying my hellos now.

i love azula as a character. she's so evil it's wonderful.

anyway...i wanted to draw her with her blue dragon, but i'm not a particular fan of the one that they use in the show. so i mashed together a bunch of dragon references i found in books and on the internet.
i'm not very good at drawing dragons, so i'm sorry if i offended anyone who draws them on a day-to-day basis.
